James Norris
James graduated with a first class honours degree in Acting from the University of Central Lancashire in 2005. Roles there included Azdak in Brecht’s Caucasian Chalk Circle
, Ralph Clark in Our Country’s Good and Trofimov in The Cherry Orchard. He has been touring as a vocalist with his band Fail Safe since graduating.

Simon Wegrzyn
Simon has worked extensively in theatre and television, appearing with Kneehigh Theatre company in Hanging Around
at The National, and in Henry V with the Royal Shakespeare Company at The Swan Theatre, Stratford. He has also appeared in Mark Ravenhill’s Citizenship at the National and The Lowry, Salford (NYT tour) and in Waiting for Doctor Godot at The Old Vic. Roles for television include Lewis in BBC Three’s Wannabe’s, Spooks (BBC) and he has just finished filming as Gary Ward in BBC’s Hope Towers.

David Tynan

David Tynan
David is from Sheffield and studied acting at the University of Central Lancashire, graduating in 2006. Roles there included Helge in Festen
, Bernard in Tom Stoppard’s Arcadia and John in After Miss Julie at the Lowry Studio, Salford.

David plays Osbourne in Journey’s End

James Day
James is originally from Cambridge and graduated in 2006. Roles whilst training include Septimus in Arcadia
, Dakin in The History Boys, Michael in Festen and Medviedenko in The Seagull. Since graduating James has played The Wolf in Big Bad Wolf(Manchester Actors Company).

James plays the Colonel in Journey’s End

John Catterall
John has been acting since the age of 14 first appearing as the regular character Davy in Childrens Ward
(ITV). Since graduating as an actor from the University of Central Lancashire in 2006, John has worked extensively in theatre and television. Roles include Huckleberry Finn in The Adventures of Tom Sawyer at The Dukes Theatre, Lancaster and lead roles in Holby City (BBC), Vincent (ITV) The Forsyth Saga (Granada) and Heartbeat. He has recently appeared in Channel Four’s film Boy A due out November 07.

John plays Trotter in Journey’s End

Paul Hassall
Paul has just graduated from the University of Central Lancashire, with a first class degree where he was also the recipient of the prestigious Jane Horrocks Acting Award 2007. Roles whilst training included Tereus in The Love of The Nightingale
, Joe in Great Expectations, and Potts in Mojo at the Lowry studio, Salford.

Paul plays the Company Sergeant Major in Journey’s End

Rick Harvey
Rick is currently completing his actor training. Roles so far have included Prince Albert in Edward Bond’s Early Morning
, Edmund in King Lear and Harry Brewer in Our Country’s Good and Tiger Brown in Brecht’s The Threepenny Opera.

Rick plays the Mason the cook, in Journey’s End

Luke Evans
Luke is currently training as an actor. His roles so far have included Menengin in Edward Bond’s Early Morning
, Lear in King Lear and Estragon in Beckett’s Waiting for Godot. He also played Christopher in Radnorshire for Radio Four.

Luke plays Officer Hibbert in Journey’s End

Richard Patterson
Originally from Ireland, Richard is also currently training as an actor. Roles so far have included an acrobat/chorus in The Love of The Nightingale, Iago in Othello and Geoffrey in The Overwhelming.

Helen Tolson - Director
Helen studied theatre and acting at the University of Central Lancashire in 2002.
Her work as theatre director has included The Caucasian Chalk Circle, The Seagull,
The Positive Hour, The Dumb Waiter and The Trojan Women at the Green Room
Manchester as well as various short pieces at the Lowry Studio, Salford. She was
short listed in 2002 for the IRDP award for her work on the radio play ‘Those We Fight’ and is also an acting coach.

She is co-founder of the company.



Tom Langford - Technical Director
Tom currently works as a freelance production/technical manager, as well as at
The Contact Theatre, Manchester. His work with the same team has included
Our Country’s Good, Festen and The Positive Hour.



Tom Pearce – Sound design
After training in Music theatre, Tom has also worked as a freelance theatre technician and sound designer.
Work includes Honk, Sweeny Todd and Sweet Charity.



Hilly McManus- Designer
Hilly started her theatre career at the National Theatre and has slowly worked her way down!
She currently works as a freelance designer/scenic artist and props maker in the
north west of England and is available for weddings, barmitzvah’s and funerals.



Ian Richardson – Producer
Ian began his theatre career as an actor before settling down and getting a proper job!
After graduating with a degree in Media Technology Ian set up his own web design business in the North West and turned his hand to producing.

He is co-founder of the company.
